The Over The Top Festival is returning for its eighth year this May and is running from the 21-23 of the month. We are very proud of our film, theatre and music line-ups and hope you can make it out. For the first time, there will be custom silk-screened posters for every concert as well as the overall festival poster. Tickets and passes are now on sale at Rotate This & Soundscapes.

New films confirmed and on sale soon:

TOKYO! (Toronto Premiere) - Michel "Eternal Sunshine..." Gondry, Leos "Pola X" Carax, and Bong "The Host" Joon-ho direct three stories that take place in the city of Tokyo.

SHORT FILMS PROGRAM (Including Sundance screened, "I'm So Proud of You" by Don Hertzfeldt.  And two new animated shorts by Chad VanGaalen, which will be screening for the first time EVER.)

More to come as finalized.

Not to be a dissenter, but outside of Merzbow and Mecca Normal this looks like the least "Over the Top" Over the Top Festival so far. Too many acts on the bill are either good but nothing out of the ordinary or just plain bland and boring compared to what I've come to expect from this fest. I'm sure some of the acts I'm not familiar with are awesome though, so I'll give them a listen.
